When we think of arthritis, and specifically osteoarthritis, we tend to focus on the large joints of the body - the knee, hip and shoulder. But arthritis of joints like the CMC or basal joint at the base of the thumb or the first MTP joint of the foot - what people think of as the ball of the foot - are affected by arthritis as well. Would regenerative treatments like PRP, stem cells or exosome...

I've experienced and still experiencing almost all you have mentioned. Any movement that involves sharp turns and jumping, my knee usually twist. Sadly, I've not been able to check it due to insufficient resources
It's football not soccer
Actually when I take a vacation I get sick and I worry constantly that my job will be gone when I get back. If I keep working I don’t get sick although my a-fib acts up a bit more. Haven’t taken a vacation in almost a decade.
Only one critique...... Get another microphone and give it to your guest....... You sound great on camera but your guest sounds like he's talking to me from the end of a hallway.
I was taking a shower soon as I stepped out my leg went to the side and my knee cap it went back in call my wife Chicago paramedics and then I went to the hospital and got a knee brace I need dislocated 6 times but it went back in with the help of my wife and by itself kids frustrating just laying down I need some good news how long would this recovery me for me I'll go see the doctor on Wednesday next week to see what's going on the days are going so slow I'm just laying down
do you see it in crossfit a lot? the kip itself seems to be somewhat of a throwing motion. i got injured during an "event" coming down hard from the bard and tore something in my scapular area, but now i have the "clicking" type feeling and overhead pain and all signs seem to point to the slap tear. ALL that being said. all i cant do is strict pullups and rings right now. the first couple bar muscle ups, toes to bar, and kipping pullups hurt a little but it seems to go away as i get going. i have modified my kip into a smaller kip with less range of motion and therefore am not as efficient and not able to string together as many reps. its been about 3 months. could i have the type of tear that truly needs surgery if im still able to do all that? ....i might actually rather be limited the rest of my life versus going through a surgery that shuts me down
Hi thanks, great helpful video, especially for explaining the time frames, for my fracture, it's a distal humerus (like the middle of my upper arm) and its been said now to be a malunion case. Its inflamed and waiting on a CT as it may be infected and need more surgery, and one of the screws have broke. I want to exercise it, as i have full ROM, but im guessing its best not to, theres no too much pain, but place body weight or opening heavy doors there is for example.
I have PCL and it’s 70%, will it heal without surgery?
It started for me when I tried to do a muscle up
I had it n it only worked for 2 months n pain came back. Been suffering for 12 months
Im having my quad tendon rupture repaired tomorrow. I have a machine that keeps my knee iced 24x7. It's like a little cooler, and the surgeon wraps my knee after surgery with this wrap that is connected to the little cooler, and it keeps my knee iced to reduce swelling and pain. I used this for my last knee surgery 15 years ago and it was a game changer, very little pain and swelling went down considerably. However, insurance or Medicare does not cover it; it's 300.00. however, it's well worth it; so do it if you can.
Advice from anyone. I had a lateral subluxation about a year ago. And didn’t do PT right away. I’m still dealing with intense pain, limping and it sucks. Mentally. I used to ice skate go hiking workout daily. Do my dog training business. I’m only 29 man and I can’t do any of that anymore. I can barely get though PT sometimes. It’s taking a toll on my mental health cause I feel so hopeless. I havnt been ice skating in an over a year. I can’t handle big dogs when I do training. Can barely hike on a good day. Can lift or squat. And as a girl that sucks. Anyone have any recovery stories?
A lot of "broken" guys in the comment column.
Why frozen shoulder happens Dr.
If the right shoulder pains during pulling up with the left hand should I continue?
You can have a comminuted fracture and still heal without surgery, if you’re lucky enough for it to be non-displaced. I’m going through that right now. Granted, it’s only “mildly comminuted” as described by one of the radiology reports (the MRI I got today, exactly 2 weeks post-injury), so I’m extremely lucky in that regard.
I was doing splitting leg workout and i suddenly heard a noise and the next morning i got a sharp pain in my hip join but with time the pain disappear but after years i went through prolonged sitting bcz of my job and i got pain on my buttock bone is it related to this ? When i sometime excercise and stretch the joint pain again reappear?what it indicates?and what to do ?
This is my first knee injury. Had an x-ray done and all is good. Had an ultrasound done and turns out i have a proximal mcl sprain along with a partial tear all from walking off a curb. Its going on 7 weeks in, I have had no noticeable swelling, been doing the "RICE" been attending physio which has been helping. Able to walk, hold my weight while standing on 1 foot, able to stretch my leg fully, bend my knee. My physio just did the knee stress test and he said my knee is strong. Now working on squats and balancing. At home i dont wear my hinge brace i walk freely but i seem to have a slight limp as i feel like ive been babysitting it. Im hoping that im on the road to recovery but i guess it takes longer than what i have been reading. I do at time have a slight pain in knee and just above the mcl area close to the knee. Hoping it goes away soon. I do find that taken hot epson salt bath nightly and rubbing deep ice cold pain relief has helped. Any suggestions moving forward would greatly help as i if i didnt have this slight pain id be back to normal. Thanks in advance
I have a strain or possible small tear of the ACL. MRI just shows that the ACL is swollen and grumpy. It is weight bearing, and passes the ligament physical tests so my doctor wants to wait three months (with PT) to see if it heals on it own before jumping into surgery. I will be taking BCP 157 for a month or two then retaking the MRI. I'll update you with my results at that time :) nothing better than being my own lab rat 😅 Should I do the injects above the knee cap in the skin or at the top of the knee in the muscle there?
I have a herniated disk they want to do a fusion will this heal
I honestly don’t know how i did what i did to my thumb but i just swear i saw it bend the other way and now it’s really sore 😔the range of motion feels limited and it’s improved since the time of injury (last night) but it’s hella sore and stiff..i don’t want surgery but i feel like i need to get it checked now
Mine won’t go away
I have same kind of fracture on my left foot after 6week of cast my dr.remove My cast and put crape bandage for 2weeks but my xray shoes it is not healed properly m confused 😕

I don't see how anyone could go so long without acl surgery. Two years for me was very difficult and finally got my surgery after multiple times my knee would pop out of place so easily and extreem pain...the kind that you can only scream, grunt, and cry to endure it the best you can. It has been 17 years since I had it and terrifies me that it could possibly fail. I pray it doesn't as it was too difficult to function that way. I got the cadaver tendon grafted in because of the downtime with the hamstring graft. I've had pain recently but hope it is just soreness or something small.
I wore splint for 2 months and my finger is not bending it is stiff what shoud i do

I’m going through a tibial Plato fracture. Doc said it’s right in line so in great spot. No surgery required. I go back for my 2nd. Xray soon and I hope they say I’m still good to just let it heal up. I don’t have much pain only when I put pressure on it. Other than that I’m not taking any meds for pain. Recovery is still 8-10 wks then pt for 2-4

I used BPC157 & TB4 two weeks post shoulder surgery. I had a complete Rotator cuff rupture and bicep rupture. Since using it, motion and mobility has been amazing. I started physio last week and already feeling better. I would definitely say to look into it if you have had surgery. I thought the name Wolverine stack was a myth. 🤙🏼

My doctor is letting mine to heal by itself, waiting 8weeks and I already feel better but I don't know if I still would need surgery!
I was told by a Sports Med Dr that cartilidge receives no blood supply and cannot "heal" or be rebuilt.
My knee around the MCL has been sore since November. Xray cleared me of osteoarthritis. Still no diagnosis.
I had Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty right shoulder, 8 days ago. Pain after that first 24-hrs was quite a bit more than advertised, but off pain meds and can withdraw the arm from the sling and can do lite activity, such as turn door knob, open refrigerator, stir my coffee, etc. I followed the exercises and return to the sling, but confidence is imho, slightly higher than expected. Hoping I do not damage myself...
Are they going to put you in a cast for 6-8 weeks? I broke my leg near my ankle 20 yrs ago. I have a screw there. Now I have swelling in that area and it feels like a cyst in the area and it hurts. My ankle swells, burns, I have needles and numbness. I got an x-ray and it looked normal. I’m going for an ultrasound on Monday. The doctor thinks it’s the screw and may have to come out. What are your thoughts on this?

Hey, i know this is unrelated bit i fractured a bone in my wrist and the doctors would refuse to tell me what it was. I was told it was either my trapezium, trapzoid, and maybe my triquetrum as well. I’m 66 yr old female. Broke my femur & shattered knee in Jan 2024. Had surgery & fixed with a rod & plate & screws. Ques: I needed a TKR before I fell, now arthritic pain is so severe, I can’t hardly walk. I was told all the hardware has to be removed in order to have a TKR. Is this something I should pursue or can’t another surgery make things worse.
